Patrick Moorehead is one of the very few people on the planet who can call himself a mad scientist -- he gets paid to assist research, he also happens to write poetry. Currently he is attending the University of Nevada Las Vegas, studying Civil Engineering.  Born in California, Patrick has been to many places, including South Korea and Japan; he's called Vegas his home for the past 4 years.  Patrick doesn't stick to one style of poetry, and you never know what to expect when you hand him a microphone.  Find out more about Patrick on myspace: www.myspace.com/patrick200586

Daniel Arsyn Skougard has made Sin City (Las Vegas, NV) his home since 1994 and spends much of his time writing verse and plotting new creations of his imagination.  Daniel finds inspiration by turning his eyes to the darker side of life in order to understand ways to create a brighter future for a world engulfed in madness.  He has written poetry and lyrics for over a decade, authoring Again We Stand and Sun Rising Poetry 2004.  He's also published in various poetry anthologies including Velvet Avalanche, and satjah projects 2006.  Daniel is a qualifier for the 2007 Las Vegas Slam Team and proudly serves as a member of the Las Vegas Poets! at First Friday Steering Committee.  Find out more about Daniel at www.danielarsyn.com and www.myspace.com/daniel9arsyn

Born in the Galilee, Israel, raised in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY, and now a resident of Las Vegas for half-a-year, Mick Axelrod seeks to blend science and spirituality in the words he ties together.  He strives to understand the complexities of human relationships, and will do just about anything to make someone laugh.  A poet, playwright and screenwriter, he makes all things word-related his bread-and-butter (though he's not currently making much bread by his buttering of the page... uh, that's writing, if you didn't catch it).  His performances are laden with emotion so raw, that like a train-wreck, you can't help but take notice.  Mick is a member of the 2007 Las Vegas Slam Team and currently co-hosts the Filthy Poets Coven open mic at the Olive (E. (Hosted by: Megan Milligan and Mark Snyder, THE M&M CO-HOSTS).  Tonight featuring JENNIFER LINAREZ AND KNOWLEDGE.  POETRY @ reJAVAnate: Every Tuesday Evening @ 7:00 p.m., 4440 S. 3300 E. Flamingo/Pecos (NW corner).  Hosted by Mark Snyder and Megan Milligan, with open mic and featured poets.  ReJAVAnate coffee lounge is under new management; the new owners, are in the midst of making this place a cultural hotspot where everyone comes to meet new people or to just hang out and enjoy the live weekly events available.  reJAVAnate has the most comfortable atmosphere in town, with lots of plush chairs and sofas to lounge upon.  reJAVAnate offers poetry, music, movies and an open mic night each and every week.  Find out more on myspace www.myspace.com/lvcoffee
